The Current rules, the Diligent is governed by.
Section I Section I The laws we are governed by. · Rules of the Member · Requirements of the Officer · Expectations of the Officer · Expectations of the Leader Section II The new Recruit. · Consent of two members · Trial/Probationary Period. · Acceptance into the Guild. Section III Raids · Raid Coordinator · Assistant Raid Coordinator · Use of channels during a raid. · Groups · Tardiness/Absence from a raid · Looting · Explanation of the RKP system and how loots are split up. Section IV Wars · Leader · Officers · Ethics · Organization Section I Rules of the Member. (full time and probationary) No member shall be involved in any of the following activites. To deliberately do so, will result in removal from the guild, upon a fair vote by a Tribunal of members chosen at the leaders discretion. · Kill Stealing, everyone should know what this means. · Scamming. There are different scams, some worse then others, Verant cannot enforce laws against scamming, but the player community outcasts it. A scam is when another player was tricked, for someone's personal gain. · Flaming. You know what this means, severe bad mouthing of someone in a public channel. This kind of behavior is grounds for immediate removal. Keep ALL disputes to private channels. (i.e. tells) · No public arguing. With any person, in the guild, or not in the guild. If you have a dispute to settle, take it to tells. Do NOT make yourself look like a little kid screaming in shouts. There will be no conflicts between members. If there is a conflict between guild members, which happens, the associated parties must contact an officer. The officer will then run a mediation meeting where the dispute will be worked out. If the conflict is still not resolved, a meeting with the leader, officer, and parties will be arranged. If it does escalate as far as having to meet with the leader, there will be punishment for both or just the party deemed responsible. The punishment, depending on severity of the conflict will result in: · Demotion back to Trial/Probationary Status · Removal from the guild completely The following actions will be given 1 warning, the second offense will result in removal. · Begging. In any form it takes. · Swearing, this is limited to abbreviations. E.g. "WTF" is ok. Do not overuse or abuse this privilege. "What the %$&?" is NOT ok. This includes offensive language. If you think you will offend someone keep your mouth shut. If someone does get offended, they will need to tell an officer, who will issue a formal warning to you for swearing. 2nd offense, like the rule says, you are out of the guild. · Whining. Of any sort, bickering when things don't go YOUR way. We are an aligned group of people, we take actions to help the whole, NOT the individual. Requirements of the Officer. To become an officer: · You must be within the top ranks of the RKP system. This doesn't mean that you are greedy, it means you attend a lot of raids. · You must have shown outstanding compassion for others in the guild. · You must be an active member for at least one month. This open to exception by the leader. · You must have achieved the rank of the 30th Season. · You are required to do something for another member to earn your Knight status. E.g. Help camp a spawn. This requirement is more then just buffs or a port. This requires significant time involved. On your officer application, you must give the name and duty accomplished to the person you helped. Upon acceptance as an officer, a large guild party will be thrown, where the officer will be given the rank of Knight. Expectations of the Officer Officers are required to, but not limited to: · Mediate conflicts between members before it is sent to the leader. · Give warnings for infractions of the "lesser" rules. And to record the warning, and notify the leader within 24 hours. · Take complaints given to them by upset members, or outside players. The recordings of the alleged events MUST be e-mailed to the leader within 24 hours notice. Expectations of the leader. · Tell me if I don't meet them · Uphold all of the listed rules, and never, ever infract upon them. · Never intentionally upset anyone. · Make sure people are having fun. · Attend and Knight new officers at the ceremonies. · Attend induction ceremonies for new recruits. · Have a good time, if I don't enjoy myself, what's the point? Section II The new Recruit. To become a member of us, you must follow these steps. · New recruits MUST have the consent of two active full time members. The officer inviting the recruit will NOT refer them to people in the guild, nor will they set up a meeting between the recruit and some members. The interested person must seek out these two people him/herself. · Upon finding the 2 sponsors, the person will go to the guild website and fill out the application. (which has a place for 2 sponsor names to be put in.) After the form has been submitted, a meeting will be set up for an invitation into the guild. The recruit will then be on Trial or probationary status. · You must be above the 20th season. · Alternates, of any full time member may join at any level. Trial/probationary period. When the recruit is invited into the guild, the recruit will keep their /anon tag on AT ALL times for 2 weeks. This is the probation period, where the recruit will be watched. The anon tag is there to hide the guild tag. There has not yet been reason to allow the recruit to where our name. After the 2 weeks, if there are no oppositions, the recruit will be allowed to take /anon off, and be added to the ranks as an actual full time member. Acceptance into the guild. Upon being accepted into the guild as a full time member, a celebration will be held. The new member will be inducted to the guild. The ceremony is just for fun, a party, to have a good time, and welcome to the person to the guild! Section III Raids The Raid Coordinator The raid coordinator is the person in charge of the raid. Direct orders by him/her will be given through shouts. The orders are expected to be followed with precise accuracy. Failure to do so could result in a death, or train. For the time of the raid, this person is your god. You do what they say, you NEVER question orders. TO DO SO IS CONSIDERED TREASON. The Assistant Raid Coordinator The assistant raid coordinator is the only person left in charge if something is to happen to the original R.C. If for instance the R.C. Dies, the assistant R.C. Is then put in complete command until the original R.C. is back, and completely ready to go. Use of Chat Channels during a raid. /shout The Raid Coordinator is the only Guilded person allowed to use the /shout Channel on raids. Direct Orders, Warnings, will be given through this channel. Anyone else who attempts to use /shout during a raid, will get 1 warning. The next offense they will be asked to leave the raid. Refusal to leave, will result in guild suspension. If in the event of the R.C.'s death, the assistant R.C. will ONLY then be allowed to use the /shout channel, until the R.C. is fully looted and ready to go. The R.C. and assistant R.C. Are appointed by the guild leader. /ooc The /ooc channel is ONLY for group leaders to talk in. No other person besides the R.C. may talk in /ooc. During the raid, members of the guild will only be permitted to use the /g channel to talk in. Talking in /auction is prohibited. Breaking these channel rules will result in ONE warning. 2nd offense you will be asked to leave the raid. Not leaving the raid, will result in guild suspension or removal. It is not required, but encouraged that you do not talk in tells during the raid. We want people as focused as possible. /afk Group leaders MUST keep an /afk tag up. The afk must say something like "/afk Raiding, leave me alone" Groups Groups are organized according to Class and purpose. There is almost no time when we will raid for experience. Tardiness and absence from a raid. Tardiness or absence from a raid must be accompanied with a warning, prior to the raid. Everyone is expected to show up for all scheduled raids. If you have a personal problem, then tell someone. EQ isn't life, just let us know if you will be late or not be there. If you have not told anyone, then you will be given a warning. We realize RL issues come up, and that's cool, just tell someone. If your Grandmother died, and you were at the hospital with her, then my god, that is ok. But make sure when you get back, when ever, that you tell someone "hey, my grandmother died, couldn't make raid" Or something like that. Poor excuses "I forgot" or no excuse at all, and just ignoring it, will result in a warning. Second offense will result in removal from the guild. Looting. The Loot organizer loots all. S/he will split everything up after the raid, and keep track of how much coin, and trash has been looted. The Guild Leader appoints this person. If at anytime, someone besides the Loot organizer loots a corpse, the person will be asked to leave the raid. NO WARNING. You will be asked to leave. Refusal to do so will result in permanent suspension from the guild. Accidents happen, therefore you are given 3 strikes. If you get kicked out of 3 raids because of this, you will be removed from the guild. Explanation of the RKP system, and how loots are split up (This is a variation of "Afterlife's" DKP system) Every member gets a point for attending a complete raid. Members with more points, who need a specific item, are given higher superiority. A roll will only occur when there is no need for an item by anyone. You must have more then one RKP in order to win any item. Need is described as: · The Item is for a quest the person is in the middle of, or will in the future, attempt it. · A piece of armor, which is stronger than the current piece of armor, a person is wearing. · Being able to equip the desired item When need is expressed by more then one person, the person with the most RKPs will get the item. If there is more then one person with the highest points (i.e. Tie) the tied people will roll. /random 100 A complete listing of the current RKP scores can be found on this page, in the RKP section. The guild Secretary is in charge of taking attendance at raids, and e-mailing the updates for the RKP standings to the Webmaster. Spells that no one needs will be dealt with differently. They will be put in the bank by the loot organizer, and taken out when the first person that needs to scribe the spell is ready for it. A player's alternate character will have the same number of RKPs as him/her divided by two, i.e. cut in half. This is to make sure that all active real players get the item before someone's alt does. To win an item for the alternate character, the alternate must be in the guild. We support each other. We will not take money out of the guild. Section IV Wars! The Leader The guild leader is in charge of all tactics or strategy used, unless otherwise specified. The leader shall stand in front, and lead the guild into battle. All orders are to be followed with precision and accuracy. To not follow an order, is considered treason. In the event of treason, you will be asked to leave the zone, and the war. Refusal, will result in permanent removal from the guild. The Officers The officers, along with the leader are to be followed at all times. During the actual war, only officers and the leader are allowed to communicate OOC through the guild channel. All other members should limit talking to only the group channel. Upon the release of Shadows of Luclin, only the Leader and the Officers will be allowed to be mounted on horses during the battle. Ethics During the war, these are the rules we are governed by, and would require the opposing guild to be governed by also: · Camping of corpses is STRICTLY forbidden. · Use of charmed mobs as a weapon to INTENTIONALLY make a character lose experience. · Charming opposing guild members and making them attack an NPC so they will lose experience. · Looting of corpses is currently something we do NOT want to be involved in. Organization The wars we fight are made into different battles, in different zones. The guild that wins the most battles, wins the war. During each battle, at the beginning, our members will form lines. · 6 people side by side, evenly spaced. The rows will then proceed backwards. Melees shall stand in the front lines. Pure casters, used as Artillery will stand in the back. (all this open to change depending upon circumstances) · Officers in the middle. (on steeds eventually) · Leader in the front. Upon signal, the front lines of none-Artillery will march forward, using WALK, not run. Upon the signal, RUN will be turned on, and we will charge into battle. We encourage our enemies to organize this way also, as it could prove much more enjoyable on an RP level.
